The noddle shop near my company
It's quite hard to find a noodle shop like this; it's not big, cheap, or crowded. Instead, it's small, original, and slow, making people want to stop, stay, and savor the atmosphere.
The noodle shop is located in an innovative office complex where approximately 1 million employees will be around, chasing their fortunes in the busiest working environment. Despite the hustle and bustle, the shop remains quiet and serene.
The moment you step into the shop, the
interior is filled with wooden furniture and artistic crafts that non-designers may not fully appreciate.
I had a feeling that people came here not just for noodles but for a sense of relaxation. I ordered a noodle dish called "炸酱猪排面" and waited for about 15 minutes, which frustrated me a bit because I had initially set a maximum waiting time of 5 minutes due to my impatience. As time passed, my brain started to alert me, "Where is my food?"
The shop owner dresses in an old-fashioned manner and speaks gently to every customer. They treat each customer with a warm smile. So, despite the noodle price (50 yuan), I am willing to pay for their excellent service. I also need to apologize for my impatience as I repeatedly asked, "Where are my noodles? When will I get it? How much longer do I have to wait? I've already been waiting for 5 and a half minutes..."
Now, I am sitting by the window of this noodle shop, writing in my blog, feeling relaxed and at ease. As the shop starts playing music, I realize it's time to leave and return to the busy mode of life. If given the chance, I would definitely stay here from sunrise to sunset. Unfortunately, as an employee, I have to go back to work, back to the busyness, and back to the rushed state of mind.
